American group will invest more than 2 billion euros in a hotel and leisure complex in Madrid

The American company Cordish is to build one of its complexes, which will have 2,700 hotel rooms, 100,000 square meters of commercial space, three convention centers, cinemas and a leisure area.
The developer has acquired land with 134 hectares in Torres de la Alameda, where he will develop a project that will revolve around a central plaza that will have a hotel, shops, outlet, restaurants, a circus, etc. There expected to be four and five star hotels with 2,700 rooms, more than 100,000 square meters for shops and leisure, 275,000 square meters of space in three convention centers and 45,000 square meters of offices.
The planned investment amounts to 2.2 billion, a figure that could rise to 3,000 million, according to the company.
Life Resorts Madrid will have an initial phase, with a planned investment of 500 million, a first stage that will be built around a central square, where a hotel, a convention center and “play area” will be built.
The company estimates that Madrid Live Resort will have an economic impact of between 4,000 and 6,000 million in the first five years of operation.
