Urban land transactions increased by 11.1% year-on-year

 

According to the data from the Ministry of Infrastructure, in the third quarter, 4,656 urban land transactions were carried out, 11.1% more than in the third quarter of 2015.

The transmitted surface represented 5.4 million square meters, 41.3 less than in the third quarter of 2015.

The value of the land transmitted was 648.6 million euros, 17.9% less than the third quarter of 2015.

The average price per square meter of land decreased in the third quarter of 2016 by 3.5% year-on-year, to stand at 150.9 euros, according to the Land Price Statistics produced by the Ministry of Infrastructure. Compared to the previous quarter, the average price of the square meter fell by 7.7%.

In municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the average price of m2 decreased 17.6% year-on-year, standing at 272.9 euros per square meter. The highest average prices in the municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants were in the provinces of Barcelona (474.1 € / m2), Madrid (449.6 € / m2), and the Balearic Islands (368.4 € /m2). The lowest average prices in the municipalities with more than 50,000 inhabitants were registered in the provinces of Cuenca (€ 67.8 / m2), Ávila (€ 75.9 / m2) and La Rioja (€ 77.2 / M2).

The number of transactions carried out in the third quarter of 2016 was 4,656, 5.0% more than in the second quarter of 2016, which amounted to 3,435 and 11.1% more than in the third quarter of 2015, where 4,192 lots were transmitted.
